Vacation

So this last week we went on vacation with another family down to La Sal. Yet again we taught a family another side of life that can exist. So one of Nathan's friends from work was talking about how he and his family had never been to arches and such and that they wanted to go down there. Nathan being the social person he is set up a trip down to La Sal for the locals experience. We left Sunday night after church, packing, and napping and arrived in La Sal at 10 pm. Mom and Maren were anxiously awaiting our arrival. Monday was a day in arches for those that needed the experience. I Stayed at the ranch with Dailynn and let the other troopers enjoy the heat and climbing. I got a blanket finished played games and enjoyed the break from fighting girls. Can I tell you how wonderful both of the girls are when they aren't together.
All the hikers made it back home eventually after having lettuce wraps for lunch since I forgot to send the bread for their sandwiches. Whoops!! After dinner we played some games and headed to bed when we were just too tired to function anymore.
Tuesday was a day on the ranch. The boys and teenage daughter took over the jeep and didn't show up until lunch time having taken care of the prairy dog problem a little bit. After lunch we ran up to the San Miguel river for a trip down. Only 3 of the 10 people that went made it all the way down, but it was still well worth the trip. Dai and Avi didn't get to go because it was just moving a little too fast for comfort. A few jumped out real quick and 2 more jumped about half way down.
Dinner was a little hectic in coming but great once it came! Mom hosted a PC party for me kicking the dutch ovens back outside to finish cooking dinner. Another night of games while the boys went to go shoot rabbits in the field. Finally they made it home about 10 saying they spent a while unwrapping a bunch of barbed wire off the axle of the jeep.
Wednesday was the trip home. On the way we stopped off at Goblin Valley to play. After eating lunch we went to play with the goblins.
About 10 min in Nathan jumped off a rock and sprained his ankle. We all helped him climb out the best we could and the two of us took off for the hospital to find out if it was broken. We stopped in Price just to get back in the car and head home just to not have to deal with that hospital. We made it to the insta care in Orem about 6 and got out just after 7 with a brace and some crutches. After grabbing dinner Nathan hunkered down in his recliner to get comfortable. Once our friends showed up with our girls we got the cars unloaded and cleaned up.
Last night the girls slept well with Avi getting just under 12 hours and Dailynn getting over 13. Too bad I wasn't able to get that much sleep, oh well.
Hopefully in the next week I will be able to get some pictures on the computer and up here for all of you to see.
